Jose Canas

Jose's story is one of finding your place in the world, and then choosing to put down roots.

Growing up between Canada and the U.S.A., Jose eventually found his home in Alberta in 1997. He started his post-secondary education at Grant MacEwan University before transferring to NAIT, where something clicked: he discovered denturism, and knew it was exactly the kind of work he was meant to do. He graduated from the Denturist program in 2004.

After completing a two-year internship in Stony Plain, Jose spent over a decade practicing as an associate denturist in Fort Saskatchewan, building relationships with patients and sharpening his craft along the way. When the time came to open his own practice, St. Albert felt like the right fit.

At Functional Denture Clinic, Jose brings the same values he lives by outside the office: patience, care, and a genuine interest in the people in front of him. He believes that restoring someone's smile is about far more than a denture, it's about giving people their confidence back. He invests in ongoing education to stay current with the latest techniques, because his patients deserve the best.

When he's not in the clinic, Jose loves being outdoors with his  daughters. Soccer is a big part of his life, a passion he proudly shares with his girls. Once he's on the field, good luck getting him off it.
